Raudenbush Engineering Inc. is providing structural engineering on the Sri Vidya Shrine project at the Himalayan Institute, located in the hills of the Poconos in northeast Pennsylvania. This 400 acre retreat center is a leader in the field of yoga, meditation, spirituality, and holistic health, and is a non-profit international organization dedicated to humanitarian programs. The original Sri Vidya Shrine is located at the Himalayan Institute in Khajuraho, India and was declared sacred in 2013 when hundreds of practitioners undertook a three-year practice to consecrate the shrine. At the shrine you can meditate and pay your respects to the Sages of the Himalayan Tradition. The new Sri Vidya Shrine will be a single story, 3,200 sq. ft. facility, with a central domed area, and arched entryways. The construction consists of ICF bearing walls, pre-engineered shotcrete dome, cold-formed roof joists, and conventional wall footings.
