Entry to Mid-Level Geotechnical Engineer


We are looking for a motivated individual to join our Geotechnical Team as an Entry to Mid-level Geotechnical Engineer in either our Pittsburgh or New Stanton offices. Primary responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Evaluate specific geotechnical issues such as settlement, capacity of shallow and deep foundations, and specifying general earthwork related construction practices.
  • Development of scope of subsurface exploration and laboratory testing programs.
  • Geotechnical analysis and design.
  • Preparation of geotechnical engineering reports, contract documents, proposals, calculations, design details, and specifications.

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET accredited curriculum.
  • Master's Degree in Geotechnical Engineering and PennDOT Drilling Inspector Certification are a plus.
  • E.I.T. or ability to pass the fundamentals of Engineering exam, is required.
  • Experience with PennDOT design standards, design software and plan preparation preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microstation and/or AutoCAD as well as Mircosoft Office.
  • 0 to 5 years of experience.
  • Strong communication skills.
